Things to do in Nottingham

Thriving Midlands city, famed for its ties with Robin Hood. Are you looking for things to do in Nottingham? We've got plenty of great ideas for you across the city.

When you think Nottingham, you instantly think Robin Hood and his merry band of men. Since those heady days much has changed. Nottingham today is a fascinating mix of old and new, medievil and modern.Transformed by the lucrative 19th-century lace industry, the city developed into a powerful manufacturing force, responsible for Raleigh bikes, the Boots pharmacy empire and cigarettes.

Whilst manufacturing has declined, the servce industry has blossomed. The city boasts some of the best shopping oppurtunities in the country, numerous museums and galleries, a thriving nightlife and a host of fine eateries. On top of all this the city is home to two football teams, two universities, a castle, a network of caves and some of the country's most stunning parkland. A trip to Nottingham, is to say the least a historically and culturally enrichening one.

Known for...   Robin Hood, River Trent, Nottingham Forest FC, HP Sauce, Sherwood Forest and Boots
