Things to do in Cardiff

Cardiff is the capital, largest city and most populous county of Wales. Are you looking for things to do in Cardiff? We've got plenty of great ideas for you across the city.

Cardiff, Wales' capital, has witnessed an enormous amount of urban regeneration and restoration in recent times - undertaking some of the most exciting projects in Europe. Cardiff now comfortably ranks amongst the most fashionable cities in the United Kingdom. Much of the city's focus has been diverted to the stunning Cardiff Bay, where trendy waterfront restaurants, cafes, bars and shops are all enjoying the transformation of these former docklands.

Cardiff is also blessed with much open parkland, so it's never difficult to escape the crowds and find some peace and quiet. The city is also home to some of the best museums and galleries in the country. Be sure to visit The National Museum and Techniquest museum, an innovative science discovery centre ranked one of the best in Europe. And of course no trip to Cardiff would be complete without first visiting the world famous Cardiff Castle.

Known for...   Cardiff Bay, Millenium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, Dame Shirley Bassey and Doctor Who filming location
